Another year another team for Rondo.

Trades are continuing to shift the NBA and the LA Clippers are one of many teams to recently switch up their roster. The LA Clippers have traded Patrick Beverly, Ramon Rondo, and Daniel aptitude to the Memphis Grizzlies for guard Eric Bledsoe. The trade will save the Clippers 30 million in luxury tax, which will then create a 8.3 million traded-play exception that they will have a year to utilize.

As for the Grizzlies, this trade gives the team salary-cap flexibility for the following summer of 2022. Memphis has 16 guaranteed contracts now and will be open to trades for some of the players. To possibly create a potential three way trade, the Philadelphia 76ers may just be the solution for the Grizzlies and take Rajon Rondo off their hands. Although Rondo could be a questionable fit to complement Joel Embiid and Ben Simmons, if he does end up on the team, there would be some benefits of his addition. With key pre-existing relationships with members of the team, playing under Doc Rivers, and a contract that can be folded into Al Horford's Trade Exception. Rondo is surely becoming a key player within this trade of trade, that, although not that impactful on the future of the NBA, it can definitely be a positive for the Philadelphia 76ers.
