Well, shout out to the Golden StateWarriors. Watching a lineup made up of Steph, Klay, Draymond, and Jordan Poole go down by 55 to the Ja Morant-less Memphis Grizzlies in game 5, up 3-1 in the series, makes what happened to the Bulls in game 4 look not so bad after all. Hell, maybe we’ll even just forget about it entirely. So there’s a win for Chicago, and we’ll take them wherever we can get them.
This Zach Lavine saga continues to have me shaking in my boots. It’s like every day I check Twitter I see another Jersey swap. The latest was Portland. I can’t believe anyone in their right mind would think Zach Lavine wants to leave Chicago after the season they just had, for a Blazers team that’s coming off making the worst trade of 2021? What about the Portland Trailblazers is intriguing to anyone besides Damian Lillard? Even though he probably also knows deep down he hates it. It honestly should be as simple as whether or not this guy really wants to give up living in Chicago to go live in Portland. Which is a joke in itself to even consider.
Warriors back in the conference finals after losing the play-in last year. This Warriors season really goes to show just how good of a coach Steve Kerr is, and just how great of an organization the Golden State Warriors are. Constantly developing the players they draft into key role players and future Allstars. From Steph, Klay, Draymond, now Jordan Poole, and Kuminga.
Some must watch games coming up tomorrow- Two game 7’s. Starting early at 2:30 we got the Bucks Celtics, with Dallas and Phoenix following up at 7:30. It would be really interesting to see Dallas win this series. Everyone including myself have been high on the Suns all year long, and to see a Dallas team with Luka in and out of the series even take them 7 games is impressive.
As for the east elimination game- it really is anyone’s game. This entire series has been great basketball to watch. It is going to be a really important game for the role players like Grayson Allen, Wesley Matthews, Bobby Portis and Lopez. These guys have been key for them in both series' so far, primarily by shooting the three and doing their job of alleviating pressure on Giannis. If the Celtics can bring their A game defensively, there is no doubt it will come down to the last couple of possessions. However that might not be too good for Boston considering the last two plays of game 6 really made Marcus Smart’s defensive player of the year look invalid as fuck. Give that shit to Jrue Holiday.
All I can hope for is a good game in Phoenix , and a Bucks Loss in Boston. Let’s go Celts.
