What a shitty way to end a good season. To see one of the worst losses in Bull’s playoff history without kris Middleton on the floor, makes me want to break my TV. Speaking of breaking things, A few days ago I made the declaration that if Zach Lavine leaves Chicago in free agency, (not including a sign and trade) I will be breaking my phone. Why? To answer this you will need quick backstory- about two years ago around this time, I agreed with the claim that the Bulls should trade Zach. His value is high, and the team is not going anywhere with him as our leading guy. This year, given the new players and the high hopes for a good season, I happily admitted I was very wrong. Here we are- all the rumors about Him leaving, Dejounte Murray says the Spurs, some of the media is saying the Lakers, but all I can say is if they kept this dude for him to leave two years later after one semi-successful season, now that is very justifiable for a phone breakage. I really believe it’s up to the front office, I’m not Lavine’s best friend or anything, but I can’t imagine he wouldn’t want to play in Chicago anymore. The city has embraced him, the front office has built around him, it really will come down to the money. If they give him the contract he wants, I think we’ll see Zach and Demar running it back these upcoming years. Which is good news for my phone.
Now, Boston and Milwaukee are sitting at 1-1 in a competitive series. I hate to say it but the consistent performance of the bucks bench is very impressive. Wesley Matthews stepped up to fill that starting roll, Grayson Allen (the worst human ever) has also played very well and consistent through the year but more importantly the playoffs. Even Javon Carter doing his thing shooting 60% efficiently helping the team. However the Celtics have been red hot, healthy, and really showing how well they can play as a team. This has been and will continue to be a series to watch, I got my money on Boston in 7.
On a slightly different note though the rest of these playoffs will be something to watch. Miami has had full control over both series they have been apart of so far, one can only assume without Joel on the floor this will continue on today at 6. I think it’s safe to say Miami in 4, maybe 5.
Phoenix and Dallas follow up afterwards at 8:30. With Phoenix controlling the series at 2-0, I think we are looking at a Dallas win tonight. The way these guys have been playing all playoffs long- I think they won’t go down without at least 1 win. If they get it, it will be today. In Dallas, coming off back to back losses, I think we are in for a good game tonight at 8:30. My guess is the series ends 4-1, Phoenix.
